Regional workshop for capacity building on climate scenarios: use of simulation products for climate information production and dissemination in West Africa.
As part of the implementation of the ACCIC project “Support for Adaptation to Climate Change in West Africa by improving Climate Information” the AGRHYMET Regional Centre organized a regional workshop on climate scenarios.
This workshop was organized in collaboration with the General Directorate of Meteorology of Burkina Faso, one of the ACCIC project three (3) pilot countries and with the scientific and technical support of the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI), one of the AGRHYMET scientific partners in the context of the implementation of the ACCIC project. DMI experts leaded sessions with expert support ARC.
The aim of the workshop is to strengthen AGRHYMET scientists and CILSS / ECOWAS countries services expertise through a better understanding of the ins and outs of scenarios from global and regional climate models and data processing from recent scenarios, production and dissemination of climate information to end users.
